TORONTO, Feb. 19, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Waste Connections, Inc. (TSX/NYSE: WCN) ("Waste Connections" or the "Company") today announced that Ronald J. Mittelstaedt, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, will take a temporary leave of absence to address health matters affecting him and his family. Until Mr. Mittelstaedt's return, Worthing F. Jackman, President, will assume the duties and responsibilities of the Company's principal executive officer. Michael W. Harlan, the Company's lead independent director, will preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors until Mr. Mittelstaedt's return.
