Waste Connections Comments on Labor Disruption

Waste Connections, Inc. today commented on a labor disruption in El Paso, TX. The Company noted that earlier today approximately 55 employees, including certain mechanics, shop personnel and drivers seeking a contract, declared a strike. The Company temporarily has transferred in additional personnel to join the majority of drivers not participating in the economic strike to both minimize any disruption to current operations and train permanent strike replacements. The Company currently expects to incur approximately $1 million of additional costs in the fourth quarter as a result of this labor action.
